The brake block also called brake shoe, it is the main part of the brake system which makes the train to stop.
There’re two types of brake block which we supply. Cast iron brake block and composite brake block.
Cast iron brake block can be divided into three categrories: grey cast iron brake block, medium phosphor cast iron brake block and high phosphor cast iron brake block, the latter two is defined by they content of phosphor.
For medium phosphor cast iron brake block, the phosphor content is 0.7%-1.0% which in high phosphor cast iron brake block, the phosphor content is above 1%.
The wear resistance of high phosphor cast iron brake block is two times of medium phosphor brake block.
The advantage of the cast iron brake block lies in its cheaper price and the disadvantage is also obvious. The weight of the cast iron brake block is heavy, its wear resistance cycle is short, and when braking, the noise is big and not good for environmental protection.
